My Fav!
It would only be fitting that I start by acknowledging my favorite Restaurant in the land of sun, sea and sand. Champers is easily one of Barbados’s leading restaurants and if you have been, its no surprise why.

Consistently good service, the food is amazing and the ambiance is breathtaking. Everything from the crystal clear waters that crash against the cliff like structure that is Champers, to the music that permeates the air, This Restaurant is a must see!
The Food
To start, I had a Shrimp and Avocado salad, it was served with mixed leaf lettuce underneath, a Mary-rose sauce and some type of garlic vinaigrette. The way the flavours of the avocado, shrimp and the garlic harmoniously mesh together and the Mary-rose sauce graciously complimented the entire combination, was incredible. Even as I write my taste buds are having an orgasm just from this reminiscent event.

The main course was nothing short of amazing. Sorry I don’t have a pic but by this time I was so consumed with the need to get it in my mouth, i forgot to capture my Pan Roasted Red Snapper. Snapper is one of the best fish in the Caribbean. It is typically considered a high end fish in these parts. Its soft, flaky, ultra moist texture just melts away in your mouth. My fillet (boneless) was perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection.
Side Note… If there is soursop juice available you must try it. They make fresh juices everyday and my mother keeps raving about how good it is.
I would have loved dessert but I’m pretty sure I would have had to use a wheelchair to leave.
Suffice it to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and by extension the entire experience. The staff are welcoming, the service was on point, the food is amazing and the ambiance is to die for.
